According to the rules:
- I must post about the award and who bestowed it upon me,
- along with a list of 7 other bloggers I read,
- and 10 honest facts about me.
I started this blog only about 4 months ago after I came back to WoW for the WotLK expansion. Seeing how many gaming blogs were out there specifically about WoW, I thought I'd try my hand at creating my own.
I didn't want to corner myself into a WoW-only blog (hence the generic name), because knowing my gaming history I tend to not be truly faithful when it comes to MMOs. But since WoW is the only game I'm playing for the time being, and the only game worth playing in my opinion, this truly has become a very focused blog.
This blog was meant to be a journal to chronicle my experiences and thoughts, and I didn't advertise it. It was also admittedly a way for me to waste time while at my job.
I've apparently managed to pick up a few readers along the way, and I'm very grateful to receive some recognition from my gaming colleagues.
So without further ado.....
Seven other blogs I consider worthy in no particular order:
- Player vs. Developer - Green Armadillo writes about game design, and what motivates us to play. Because I love anything about human psychology this is one of the first blogs I began to follow, and I really thought the name was creative.
- a wall of text - Brent & company write about gaming in general and I can count on them for breaking news on games and technology that are in development.
- World of Matticus - Really needs no introduction, as a big resource for healers in general. I don't always agree with Matticus's views but the posts there always spark lots of discussion.
- Violaceous Mana - Raesa's a priest as well so we have something in common. She also writes about the struggles of leading a guild (something I have no experience with). I also really enjoy her posts about UI mods, she's really obsessed about her UI!
- Reflections from the Pond - One of the more recent blogs I've picked up, Tessy writes from the heart about all kinds of WoW related subjects, especially those of a personal nature.
- Penance Priest - A newer blog from a discipline priest that I honestly can't remember where I picked up. I liked Paolo's theorycrafting and helpful posts about mods and macros. Even though I'm not discipline any longer, it is always interesting to see how other people solve problems.
- Ramblings of JoBildo - Finally I have to give a shout-out to JoBildo. He was very active in the Ten Ton Hammer community. He's a comic-strip creator and blogs about all his many gaming experiences and personal views. He's been inactive as of late and I hope he returns soon!
- I'm the daughter of a Southern US man and a British woman. You better believe I was taught about manners as a child.
- I love food and I like to push the limits of my own cooking by learning ethnic recipes.
- I'm also obsessed about nutrition and eating healthfully and naturally.
- I'm currently wearing braces on my teeth as an adult, which is totally painful and I hope to get them off this year!
- I work in the soda manufacturing business but I don't drink soft drinks (see #3.)
- I still have no idea what I want to be when I grow up.
- I got introduced to MMO's via my wonderful husband.
- I love cats!
- I've often fantasized about traveling back in time.
- I'm trying to become a mother, which is both wonderful and scary.
Thank you Daria! :-D
