Noticing the Slowdown

We didn't have enough raiders show up last night to finish clearing Naxx, so no Kel'thuzad this week and not even a chance at my healing mace. The same problem occurred last Wednesday, when we couldn't attempt Sarth +3D or Malygos.

I've noticed around the blogosphere that other people are reporting the same issues with their guilds. We seem to have gotten to a point where people are bored of raiding, or maybe they just have everything they want. Whatever the case, it leaves those of us who still need upgrades out in the cold.

I'm not really sure what else to say on the matter, and it has definitely sparked some conversation in my guild. We still have plenty to work on in regards to downing Sarth +3 and working on some of the achievements, but it would seem that achievements aren't important to all people.

For now, I think I just have to put up with it until the next patch. My gear is certainly passable where it is, but I might just have to be prepared for the fact that I can't upgrade those last few items for ilevel 226 gear. I may just have to accept that I won't be getting a drake from Sarth, or completing the Glory of the Raider achievements.

After all, when Ulduar launches we'll have forgotten about all that. The raiding will begin anew.
In the meantime, it is a test to see if guilds can stick through this rough patch.

And if your guild does fall apart?
Check out the cool new
website from some of the people who were involved with Curse.

I'm really liking their Blue tracker, and their guild recruitment tool makes it very easy to search for a new guild. It is miles above searching through the Blizzard recruitment forums where you have to read every single post to find out if a guild is a possible fit.
The site is still very new so there are few guilds posted at the moment, but I think this one could really take off as the word gets out.

  1. We instituted a policy where if you come to less than half our weekly raids (we do three nights) regularly, then you're dropped from "radier" status to "casual" status, who don't get invited to raids. Someone who gets their gear then stops coming to raids is basically just using the guild and doesn't deserve to be in on raids when Ulduar comes out.
