For the Deconstructor fight last night I pretty much relied on the well described strategy on Tales of a Priest.
I don't believe this fight will be too difficult once your raid gets the mechanics down.
Why do I believe it was so tough for my particular guild last night?
People weren't moving away from the groups at all when they got Gravity Bomb, or they weren't moving far enough away. I can't tell you how many times I would be happily casting away my AoE heals then would be suddenly yanked backwards into the person with the bomb.
We didn't have as much trouble with the Light Bomb, since it is really obvious when you have it, other than some people who felt they had to get so far away from the group that they were out of range for heals.
Other issues where just add control.
What I really want to discuss is the awesomeness of Divine Hymn. With it's 10 minute cooldown, I was able to use it once for every attempt. I'd wait for our resto druid to use tranquility first and then use DH on the next Tantrum.
According to my recount, it was healing for about 150k to 190k if I got a full channel. That's from one spell folks!
For the first time I was number 1 on the healing charts, beating out our holy paladin. /snicker
I do feel bad for the pallies though. I know they are cursing all these AoE damage heavy fights we've been seeing so far in Ulduar.
Being excited is not a crime
